Head Start Center Villa del Rio, an educational project where a certain sensibility and attention to details where the primordial factors of design. This, as well as the previous mentioned project, was a collaboration with the architecture firm Emilio Martinez Arquitectos (EMᵃ). 

This Center was a process of readjusting and recontextualization, as well as accumulating knowledge from both the users and the youth that would be occupying these spaces. The environmental condition for children’s early learning education manifests an important role in every child life, so it holds an important role in our design.

Differently from the previous Center, Head Start Center Villa del Rio is a half renovation and half ground-up construction project. The right wing of the Center was rehabilitated while the left wing as well as the rest of the project is brand new construction designed to meet the community and its children’s current needs with an open, fun and durable design.
